Senior Process Designer Job at Fusion Integrated Solutions, LLC in Howard

The piping designer will work with the engineering project teams to complete 2D and 3D layouts and design packages for process equipment systems including piping, pumps, valves, devices, and instrumentation. Accountabilities and Required Capabilities: Assist in the design and layout activities on projects under the direction of a Lead Designer or Engineer Proficient in AutoCAD Plant3D and/or Solid Edge (3D modeling using provided Point Cloud 3D scans) in all aspects of the design and layout of the engineering packages. Complete equipment layout, piping layout, general arrangement drawings, piping isometrics, and P&ID drawings. Conduct necessary fieldwork inclusive of walk downs of current systems, locate tie-ins and measuring. Create detailed field notes that can be understood by others. Evaluate the scope of work using P&ID's and specifications to design piping systems while adhering to applicable design standards. Review project parameters related to piping requirements. Develop preliminary Bills of Materials with respect to piping design. Work is generally performed in an office environment; however, short term field assignments may be required. Basic Qualifications: Associates degree in mechanical / process design with 3-D modeling. Minimum of 8 years of experience preferred. Display a working knowledge of industry standard drafting practices, good mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of Piping Engineering. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at a time. Knows enough to ask questions when drawing from red lines. Additional Qualifications and Capabilities: Minimum 8 years AutoCAD, Piping 3D modeling (Plant 3D) and Microsoft Office applications. Participate in project meetings plus provide project status. Provide assistance to sales and contracts for proposals. Prepare and manage schedule for piping design projects.
