SUMMARY
The Analyst, Content helps address NACD members’ most pressing challenges by supporting the development and delivery of high-quality content that is professional, insightful, and relevant to corporate board members. As a member of the content team, the individual will assist in researching, writing, project managing, and promoting timely and practical guidance for the corporate board community on a range of governance issues including board operations and oversight of major strategic and risk matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops, writes, and creates high-quality short-form content for members (research papers, articles, etc.), and longer-form content, such as handbooks.
- Conducts primary and secondary research on corporate governance, business, regulatory and related issues of interest to NACD’s members: directors of public, private, and nonprofit boards.
- Engages with directors from publicly traded and privately owned companies, including those at Fortune 500 organizations to support the content team in identifying their most pressing business challenges.
- Supports interviews with directors and reviews relevant data and other secondary research to independently produce relevant content for members.
- Engages with external stakeholders on co-branded publications and events.
- Assists in the project management of timelines and deliverables for content production, especially digital content, other core departmental activities, and projects and assignments as needed.
- Collaborates across NACD departments–especially with the partner, editorial, education/events, web, design, and marketing teams–to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Converts thought leadership into engaging learning experiences for our membership, including virtual and in-person events.
- Builds subject matter expertise in selected topic areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
NONESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attends NACD director events and program/project planning meetings with NACD colleagues and our external content partners virtually and in-person.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, journalism, English, communications, political science, or another field with research work required. A minimum of two years of experience in research and/or content development desired. Knowledge of corporate governance and boardroom practices is a plus. Must have outstanding oral and written communication skills; excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Teams/SharePoint; and demonstrated track record of prioritizing multiple work streams under deadline, with timely execution and resolution of action items.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
NACD employees are required to be fully vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus by their first day of employment. An employee is “fully vaccinated” two weeks after receiving their second dose of a two-dose vaccination series or two weeks after the first shot of a single-dose vaccine (or as described by the vaccine manufacturer).
The salary/hourly range for this position is $62,200 – $67,200 plus bonus potential. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
