Technical Writer and Editor, Junior
You know that clear and detailed documentation enables organizations to execute its mission, values, and objectives. As a technical writer, you know how to write and edit technical documentation, reports, and manuals. We’re looking for a writer and editor like you, who is ready to apply your specific skills across a range of documents being produced by the Department of Defense.
As a technical writer on our team, you’ll draft, review, and edit technical documentation. Working collaboratively with team members, you will conduct reviews, suggest edits, and ensure that technical documentation is clear and concise so that stakeholders and external audiences can understand and use the information for action.

You Have:
- Experience in technical report writing and editing
- Experience with researching highly technical subject matter and organizing material
- Knowledge of basic concepts used in technical writing for various types of documents
- Ability to prepare and maintain operations documentation, user guides and manuals, and technical publications
- Ability to review and edit complex technical information for readability
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience drafting, reviewing, or editing engineering related documents
- Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team
- TS/SCI clearance
- Master’s degree
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $42,600.00 to $87,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
