Summary of Job Duties

The Extra Help Assistant is responsible for providing unskilled, semi-skilled labor or performing basic office tasks in a state agency or institution. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

Bowen law student or other professional school student.

Job Duties

  1. Works the circulation desk, answering phones, directing patrons, charging/discharging materials and receiving payments;
  2. Shelves materials and does stacks maintenance;
  3. Opens and/or closes the library;
  4. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  1. Computer proficiency;
  2. Ability to follow oral and written instructions;
