Sanchez Benton has an opportunity for a studio manager to join its team in London.

We are looking for a studio/office manager with experience in architecture/design-related workplaces to carry out administrative roles within a thriving young practice.

We are award-winning architects and designers working on a range of private residential and commercial projects across London.

The ideal candidate should be looking to build experience and responsibility but also be willing to carry out the basic tasks required in supporting a busy practice. The role covers studio management, finance, marketing, and human resources.

The successful candidate will have a combination of:

  • at least three years’ experience in an architectural or design environment
  • prioritisation and time management skills coupled with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • organised and motivated with an ability to take initiative and work as part of a team
  • communication skills, both written and verbal
  • proactive with development and improvements in the studio
  • an interest in architecture & design and commitment to the work of Sanchez Benton
  • knowledge of general HR policies and procedures
  • knowledge of Sage 200 system or a similar accounting software
  • IT literacy in MS Office – Excel, Word, and Adobe InDesign

This can be either a part-time or a full-time role based at our studio in Farringdon.

Studio management:

  • statutory obligations, including health and safety
  • assisting architects with administrative tasks and document control
  • prepare and edit documents, reports, and letters
  • studio maintenance and housekeeping

Finance:

  • liaising with accountants
  • invoicing clients
  • assisting with payroll
  • managing online accountancy programme
  • fee proposals, payment schedules, forecasts, and accounts

Human resources:

  • managing HR
  • monitoring timesheets and annual leave
  • assisting with recruitment

Marketing:

  • assist in preparing expressions of interest and awards submissions
  • supporting the senior team in business development
  • organising events
