Overview: The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual for the position of Recruiting Coordinator & Video Coordinator. This dual role will support both recruiting efforts and the management of video operations for the football department. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in promoting the university’s athletic programs while providing logistical and technical support for the coaching staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting Coordinator:
- Assist in the recruitment of student-athletes, including coordinating recruiting visits, travel, and communication with prospective recruits.
- Maintain and update recruiting databases and manage the coordination of recruitment materials.
- Support coaches in organizing recruiting events, such as camps, showcases, and official/unofficial visits.
- Communicate with recruits, their families, and high school/club coaches through phone, email, and in-person visits.
- Assist with NCAA compliance in recruiting activities to ensure adherence to university and NCAA rules.
Video Coordinator:
- Manage video production, including capturing practice footage, game footage, and player pro day highlights.
- Coordinate the editing and distribution of video content for coaching staff and players.
- Oversee video libraries, ensuring proper tagging, storage, and retrieval of footage for analysis and review.
- Collaborate with coaches to create video scouting reports and highlight reels for recruitment and player development.
- Ensure that all video equipment and technology are properly maintained and in working order.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Sports Management, Exercise Science, or related field).
- Experience with video production and editing software (such as Hudl, DVSport, XOS Catapult, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in collegiate athletics or sports management preferred.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed for practices and games.
