Department Summary:

The Writing Center at the University of North Texas provides support for undergraduate and graduate writers across the disciplines. Our mission is to help students improve as writers at all levels, and we support a culture of teaching and learning at UNT through peer tutoring, interactive workshops, classroom support, and consultation with faculty and staff.

Position Overview:

Part-time position tutoring university students in writing assignments/projects across all disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 1 year of Writing Center Tutoring experience.
  • Completion of an advanced level course on Writing Center Theory.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills and previous experience in tutoring university students in writing across all disciplines.

Varied. Maximum of 19 hours a week.
