Our private writing tutors work with students ranging from 3rd grade through college to build writing fundamentals. We generally meet with students weekly, one-on-one, and in an ongoing way (usually over Zoom). While some of our families are interested in creative writing, the majority want their kids to become better, more confident writers overall, particularly with respect to their schoolwork and as a life skill. (We also work with students on college application essays.)

We are looking for tutors who are friendly and outgoing, who can make parents feel comfortable right away and make the sessions fun for students. Experience teaching (and teaching writing and/or literature in particular) is a big plus. While we provide some guidance and support, tutors must be able to create their own lesson plans focused on particular writing skills, customizing them to the student's needs.

Our hourly rates are competitive; we find great teachers, and we value them. Because most of our teaching is over Zoom, applicants may live anywhere.
