Job Description:
As a Producer on the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force accounts at GSD&M, you will:
- Communicate clearly and regularly with Account Leadership, Project Management and Creative Teams through meetings, the Teams platform, email, and phone.
- Consult with Creative, Account, Strategy, and Business Affairs from inception of ideas through completion of production. You will be relied upon to flag any items that could cause delay or cost overruns throughout the production process.
- Plan and implement production of TV, radio, video, or digital content upon client approval of storyboards, scenarios, or scripts.
- Work with external production representatives to discover talent & provide video reels to the creative team that you believe align well to the creative concept, while also meeting the scope of the production.
- Develop estimates based on client funding and monitor budgets based on campaign deliverables/change orders.
- Generate and adhere to production schedules. Be prepared to have alternate solutions to meet deadlines should delays arise.
- Create specifications documents based on deliverable scope and definitions.
- Determine resource requirements and engage third party vendors as necessary.
- Evaluate, solicit bids from, and negotiate with vendors.
- Work with Business Affairs and Contracting to execute the vendor award. This often requires a strong attention to detail, so that all award documents are completed accurately, & they include all the necessary requirements.
- Direct production workflow starting with initial client research calls, then talent and location selection, followed by vendor award, pre-production meetings, shooting, recording, editing, music, color correction, and final client approval.
- Manage critical path milestones, evaluating risks and developing contingency plans.
- QA ALL final deliverables prior to launch minimizing project risks.
- Proactively communicate issues and resolutions to team within agency.
- Carry out any additional and unforeseen duties as required, ensuring the project's success.
About You:
- 3+ years of production experience and are a U.S. Citizen holding a state-issued driver’s license or ID card.
- Experience managing the development of projects with external vendors.
- Experience shooting on location and in sometimes austere and/or technically challenging environments.
- Basic knowledge of SAG, AICP, AICE guidelines.
- Overall knowledge of film and digital and social capabilities and nomenclature.
- Current knowledge of industry prices, trends, and vendor capabilities. Familiarity with current production methods and technologies/capabilities is critical.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business and professional communications, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. This role is often client-facing so you must be comfortable speaking with government and military members with respect.
