What success looks like in this role:
Responsible for supporting Supply Chain procurement needs by managing parts to ensure demand is met while minimizing excess inventory. Requires researching, investigating, questioning, and analyzing the demand plan to determine the quantity of parts to be purchased to satisfy demand and meet revenue requirements. Continually monitor and manage parts/inventory to meet production needs. Understand the strategy and work with demand planner to determine parts are forecasted when needed in order to purchase within lead times. Work with receiving department to reconcile shipment issues and part shortages. Interface with vendors to request quotes and lead times; resolve pricing issues and invoice discrepancies; escalate shipments as needed. Work with vendors on EOL purchases and replacement part options. Work with demand planner to provide vendor forecasts. Interface with internal groups such as accounts payable, finance, order to bill, engineering, and others to accomplish tasks. Participate in annual internal audits. Attend weekly buyer review meetings new product information meetings to ensure parts are identified and set up for purchasing in a timely manner. Prepare quarterly WIPSTATs report and review with management.
You will be successful in this role if you are able to: Take a lead role in decision making. Work well independently as well as in a team. Take initiative to investigate issues and provide resolution. Multi-task, switching between several roles, to complete responsibilities and meet deadlines. Work in a fast paced and changing environment. Identify areas for process improvements and implement them. Perform tasks in a timely manner to meet deadlines. Work with all levels of management.
You will be successful in this role if you have: BA/BS degree and 4-6 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Analytical and Critical thinking skills Problem solving skills Experience with Oracle Fusion (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system) Proficient with Excel and Spreadsheet analysis
