The PBS KIDS Creative Intern will work with top creative talent, including designers, animators, sound designers and engineers to create interactive content for kids 2-8. Working with the PBS KIDS team, the intern will create innovative, original, educational content for PBS KIDS products.Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Work closely with PBS KIDS designers to create experiences for kids 2-8
* Conceptualize and design light interactive content for PBS KIDS
* Participate in brainstorms and design reviews with PBS KIDS design team
* Work closely with PBS KIDS designers to produce motion and sound concepts
* Illustrate new experiences and assets for existing products in the PBS KIDS brand
* Work closely with the PBS KIDS Production Intern to source content for new and ongoing promotions
Skills Intern Will Acquire
* Experience working with a team of creative professionals
* Knowledge of design, animation, and development processes
* Knowledge of web, streaming video, and mobile apps
* Insight into the convergence of multiple platforms with traditional broadcast
* Knowledge of the public media industry
* Knowledge of the children's media industry
* Experience working within brand guidelines across various platforms
Requirements for success:
* Submission of a portfolio/demo reel and example projects will be required for consideration*
* Ability to illustrate simple design concepts with appeal
* Working knowledge in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and other design applications
* Ability to receive and incorporate critical feedback
* Drive to pursue abstract ideas from concept to completion
Additional Information:
Time Commitment: May 27, 2025 - August 15, 2025
Compensation: Undergraduate students receive $15/hour, graduate students receive $17/hour
