Role
The Product Manager is a key member of the marketing team, responsible for shaping and executing product strategies that drive business growth and establish Catchmaster as a leader in the pest control industry. This role oversees the development, positioning, and lifecycle management of the product portfolio, ensuring that both new and existing products meet market demands and exceed customer expectations.
The Product Manager works cross-functionally to bring innovative, high-quality products to market, while also optimizing and evolving the existing product lineup to maximize performance, customer satisfaction, and revenue. Additionally, they will develop and implement marketing programs that enhance brand awareness, strengthen market positioning, and reinforce Catchmaster as the preferred choice for both pest management professionals and consumers.
Summary:
New Product Plans • Lead category strategy definition and develop a 3-5 year product roadmap to meet business growth goals. • Define key product elements, including consumer targets, portfolio definition, pricing strategy, go-to-market strategy, and messaging strategy. • Prioritize execution efforts with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue growth and financial KPIs. • Collaborate with finance to develop and present business cases, incorporating financial models, ROI analysis, and other key decision metrics.
Category Management: existing portfolio management • Own product line P&Ls, ensuring product lines meet revenue, margin, and other key financial targets. • Oversee the full product lifecycle, from innovation to post-launch performance, in collaboration with R&D, Operations, and Creative teams. • Lead product renovations, including channel-specific adaptations, packaging updates, and cost-saving initiatives to maintain market competitiveness. • Sales and forecast tracking, to ensure inventory and sales alignment. • Oversee marketing campaigns (seasonal and promotional) to support sales and brand awareness. • Track and report on KPIs to measure product performance and ensure alignment with business goals.
Go-To-Market Strategy and Execution • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies and campaigns for new product launches, product renovations, and line extensions, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and long-term market share growth. • Craft compelling product messaging that differentiates offerings in the marketplace and resonates with our partners and consumers. • Work with Creative and Marketing teams to develop high-quality marketing collateral. • Partner with the channel teams to drive product and brand communications across all consumer touchpoints. • Manage POS materials, trade show presence, catalogs, and sales campaigns to support product visibility and sales.
Category and Consumer Insights • Monitor and analyze competitive activity, consumer needs, and marketplace trends to identify opportunities and threats. • Utilize consumer insights, shopper behaviors, purchase drivers, and other research to make fact-based, consumer-driven product and feature trade-off decisions. • Ensure product decisions align with brand positioning and overall business objectives.
Strategic Projects • Lead strategic initiatives based on category growth strategies, improving Catchmaster's market presence and competitiveness. • Drive projects related to e-commerce, retail execution, digital marketing, and other growth initiatives.
Skills/ Competencies/ Qualifications: • Demonstrated success in launching and managing consumer products, including go-to-market execution. • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate market data into strategic insights and business recommendations. • Proven experience in P&L management and pricing strategies. • Proficiency in collaborating with and managing external agencies. • Creative thinking and the ability to contribute fresh ideas to marketing initiatives. • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. • High degree of collaboration & teamwork. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-focused. • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of product management, marketing, or brand management experience, preferably in CPG, pest control, or related industries.
