Job Description
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday - Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 7am - 4pm
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal/external customers.
- Sense of urgency is critical.
- Maintain a positive attitude within the workplace and drive improvement professionally and personally.
- Effective interpersonal skills - ability to relate to internal peers at different levels as well as external customers and vendors. Be a team player.
- Work without constant supervision - self-motivation and attention to detail required. Assume the role of a leader and take charge of situations.
- Process Air Export Gateway consolidations by working closely with immediate counterparts in the origin air export departments in the region. A summary of the process includes receiving cargo, planning or booking the cargo, processing consolidation paperwork, transferring to carrier, and tracking until arrival.
- Communicate constantly with warehouse staff during the consolidation process to ensure quality and compliance.
- Dispatch and oversee all airport transfers and pickups with local trucking vendors.
- Commit to quality and data integrity. Responsible for daily updating and monitoring of various reporting tools “Gateway Workflow” & “Transportation Management”.
- Pay attention to accounting to ensure bills are paid timely and correctly.
- Manage our capacity through posted consolidation schedules and book additional space as needed.
- Complete 52 hours of training per year.
- Engage in constant self-development via Personal Development plan.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify trouble areas within the process and work with the team to make improvements.
- Trend and analyze data to drive improvements.
- Foster and improve Service Provider partnerships and relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hazardous Materials certification desirable.
- Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to internal peers at different levels as well as external customers and vendors. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiar with standard email programs.
- Work without constant supervision in a fast-paced work environment. Self-motivation and attention to detail required. Assume the role of a leader and take charge of situations.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000
