The L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty division changes lives by creating the "beauty of health" with iconic brands like La Roche-Posay, Vichy, CeraVe, SkinCeuticals, and skinbetter science. As the most prescribed brands by dermatologists and specialists, the division has experienced double-digit global growth for the past five years, fueled by over 7,500 employees worldwide.
About the Role
The Director, Digital Strategist will lead the development and implementation of full digital strategies for CeraVe, collaborating with internal teams and agencies to drive 360 campaigns across all digital channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive digital strategies encompassing social media, influencer marketing, website optimization (SEO/SEM), e-commerce (including Amazon), CRM, and content creation.
Lead agency relationships, including selection and day-to-day management.
Create and disseminate digital playbooks for global markets to ensure consistent campaign execution.
Lead content ideation, brief development, and distribution strategies across paid, earned, owned, and borrowed channels.
Integrate offline and online activities, connecting events like dermatology congresses with digital campaigns.
Analyze digital performance, provide campaign reporting, and offer data-driven insights.
Manage timelines, deliverables, and budgets for digital initiatives.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, medical, international) to ensure alignment and synergy across all channels.
Act as a digital expert, advising teams on optimizing digital marketing plans for product launches and brand initiatives.
Deeply understand and execute campaigns across all stages of the marketing funnel.
Develop innovative strategies for emerging platforms like TikTok and Twitch, integrating them into broader campaigns.
Partner with international markets, including China, to implement global campaigns effectively.
Contribute to maintaining our leading share of voice on social media and driving continued growth in search.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or business.
9-12 years of experience in digital strategy across various channels (social media, influencer marketing, website optimization, e-commerce, CRM, content creation).
Skincare experience and a strong interest in health, beauty, and dermatology preferred.
Advanced proficiency in campaign development, content creation, and 360 distribution strategies.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Professional demeanor, positive attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write in a medical tone of voice preferred.
Experience in KPI reporting and analysis.
Proven ability to manage vendors and collaborate with business partners on innovations.
Strong understanding of creative development and execution.
Demonstrated success in executing large-scale campaigns with measurable results.
Experience with international markets, including China.
Any relevant industry awards (e.g., Cannes Lions, CLIOs, Effies) are a plus.
What We Offer:
Salary Range: $138,500 – $200,800 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level Competitive Benefit Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Pension Plan)
