Job Description
Our client is a well-known, cutting-edge fashion brand and e-commerce company. They are seeking a Director of Human Resources to support their HR Leader in managing and optimizing employee experience. This is a hands-on role for someone who has worked in-house in a fast-paced environment or mid-stage environment and is ready to tackle a wide variety of HR functions while being part of a dynamic team.
This is an in-person role at our client's headquarters in Beverly Hills, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the go-to person for all employee relations issues that arise on a daily basis, including employee concerns, performance issues, and conflicts
- Create and implement more efficient HR processes to address employee relations issues and ensure HR operations run smoothly and effectively
- Oversee HR generalist functions such as employee engagement, policy development, and compliance, ensuring they align with the company's goals
- Work closely with department managers to train, develop, and support them in handling HR tasks, with a focus on improving their ability to address employee relations issues and managerial challenges
- Identify inefficiencies in current HR operations and create scalable, strategic solutions that improve overall productivity and reduce day-to-day HR load
- Work closely with other departments (including finance and training & development) to ensure HR initiatives are aligned with business needs
- Act as a strong right hand to the Director of Talent Acquisition & People, helping them manage and prioritize key HR initiatives and daily tasks
- Provide guidance to junior HR team members, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of in-house HR experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment or mid-sized company (preferably in fashion, retail, or a similar industry)
- Proven experience handling employee relations issues in a dynamic, high-volume environment
- Experience in implementing HR processes and creating efficiencies within a growing organization
- Strong understanding of HR generalist functions, with deep knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to take a step back, assess the situation, and develop strategic solutions
- Ability to work both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of HR compliance and best practices (and the unique considerations for CA-based companies)
Compensation: Targeting a base salary of $140-$175k
