The Director, Digital Marketing Channels leads the strategy, execution, and optimization of digital channel marketing campaigns that drive customer acquisition, cross-sell, upsell and retention with a focus on Email, SMS among other channels. This role will have responsibility for channel governance and bring deep digital marketing experience including knowledge of digital marketing trends, best practices, tools and technologies (including Salesforce Marketing Cloud). The Director will manage channel performance, conduct channel testing and share performance summaries and reports to stakeholders, including campaign results, insights and recommendations.
Channel strategy and execution:
Lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of digital channel marketing channels (Email, SMS and other channels) that drive customer acquisition, cross-sell, upsell and retention. Provide channel governance and bring deep digital marketing experience including knowledge of digital marketing trends, best practices, tools and technologies (including Salesforce Marketing Cloud). Leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud features (e.g. customer journeys) to enhance customer experience and deliver business outcomes. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the success of the Email, SMS and Mobile channels. Use A/B testing, analytics, and customer insights to refine messaging, targeting, and tactics to improve conversions and engagement. Manage channel performance and share performance summaries and reports to stakeholders, including campaign results, insights and recommendations. Utilize data and analytics tools to track campaign performance, identify areas for optimization, and make data-driven recommendations. Partner with vendors, external agencies and cross-functional teams to build and execute the channel strategies. Stay updated on Marketing technologies including Salesforce Marketing Cloud features, industry best practices, and emerging marketing trends. Team Leadership
Lead channel team (individual contributors) in the development and execution of channel marketing strategies and initiatives. Work cross functionally in developing channel strategies and executing integrated marketing campaigns. Participate in journey mapping the customer experience and liaise with project team leads to ensure customer-centricity across Marketing channels. Proactively identify ways to improve channel operations with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and implement changes. Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. Education, Experience & Skills
Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor’s, and/or Master’s) preferred, yet a High School diploma or GED is required. Candidates with some combination of coursework and experience, or else extensive related professional experience, are eligible for consideration. 7+ years of experience managing B2C and B2B multi-channel programs with emphasis on digital marketing channels (email, SMS, mobile, paid media), with demonstrated experience driving business growth. Highly analytical background with experience in developing and implementing data-driven marketing campaigns. Significant experience in campaign tracking methods and tools (e.g. Google Analytics, UTMs). A deep understanding of channel operations (e.g. email, SMS) and regulatory requirements/rules (e.g. CAN-SPAM). Minimum 2 years Salesforce Marketing Cloud Experience working in Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder and Cloud Pages, with the ability to work efficiently on any email marketing platform. Sales Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud automation experience with SQL queries preferred but not required. Experience with audience creation and list management is preferred. Experience working with external agencies in campaign planning and execution. Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral, written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Experience leading individual contributors including performance management, coaching and development. The estimated salary range for this position is $134,000.00 to $150,000.00 USD annually. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
