OVERVIEW:
The Retail Media team at Trade School is one of our fastest growing business units. We're continuing to invest in building the most talented team to scale our Retail Media practice. Trade School is focused on the sell side of retail media networks; we have a passion to help retailers strategically build their media networks.

Our team is built to act as an extension to our client's Retail Media team, such as The Home Depot, to play a role in building a media network that's beneficial to their company and their advertiser partners. Trade School services include executive consultation, strategic marketing & public relations, sales enablement, product marketing and more.

The Group Account Director, Retail Media will partner with The Home Depot Orange Apron Media leaders and Trade School Retail Media team to strategically lead workstreams across their marketing and go-to-market strategies. They're responsible for establishing and articulating a compelling long-term vision for the business while guiding the day-to-day marketing team.

This role will report to the Chief of Staff, Retail Media at Trade School.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gain a deep understanding of the client's business and structure with the ability to articulate opportunities and challenges
  • Ability to form trusted client relationships with mid-to-senior level stakeholders
  • Provides business and category context to arm the team with relevant knowledge to lead the work to success
  • Creatively solves business challenges and champions work that will best deliver success
  • Willingness to tactfully challenge the norms with thoughtful & productive conversations
  • Annual and/or project scope development, with proven ability to manage to scope
  • Identify resources needed to effectively execute the scope, and can articulate rationale
  • Manage hours and financials of the client's business, including pacing and profitability
  • Motivates and inspires high performance by modeling leadership
  • Aware of the health of the team at all times, and will advocate on their behalf
  • Flexible in adjusting workload and deliverables to meet client demands understanding how to effectively prioritize

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) required
  • 10+ years of experience across account management, project management, marketing, or sales
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative working style
  • Proven experience in strategic leadership, implementing projects with excellence
  • Proven history of exceptional performance in previous account management roles
  • Proven track record of developing high-performing talent
