Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr YES Network for the Gotham Advanced Media and Entertainment (“G.A.M.E”) Gotham Advanced Media and Entertainment (“G.A.M.E.”), a joint venture of Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network (“YES”) and MSG Networks (“MSGN”), is seeking a strategic, creative, industrious, innovative, and results-oriented digital marketing all-star to join the Gotham Sports App team in NYC. About the Role Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Creative at YES, this critically important position helps to strategically plan, organize, and execute all lifecycle marketing for the digital businesses. This person will be responsible for executing all consumer-facing digital marketing initiatives, while serving as a liaison with key internal and external stakeholders (including ad sales, creative services, production, strategy, PR), professional sports team partners, corporate marketing, and third-party vendors. The ideal candidate will also be a data whiz with significant hands-on experience with the latest martech platforms, tools and trends. This position will be an instrumental force in driving the following: Manage all
customer-facing communication , including new subscriber onboarding, streaming engagement comms, product launches, new features adoption, etc., while ensuring all messaging is on brand, premium, and consistent. Plan, test, and optimize tactics to improve
user engagement
across touch points such as app navigation, video viewership, interactive games, game alerts notifications, etc. Own
customer retention , including monitoring trends in subscriber churn/survival, launching churn mitigation (+ win-back) tactics, deepening participation in Gotham Rewards, etc. Co-manage
owned channels
(email, push, in-app, on-air) to deploy thoughtfully targeted, 1:1 customer messaging to our entitled audience. Lead strategy of
upsell + C2C
programs, enticing existing subscribers to upgrade to our bundled offering and to become evangelists to bring in new potential customers through referral or gifting. Ideate and flesh out impactful
a/b testing , including hypothesis generation, experiment design, and documentation, across all phases of a subscriber’s lifecycle. Partner closely with
internal Creative team and external vendors
to ensure recommendations + guidance provided are in line with our best interests and business requirements to maximize value/output. Drive
performance reporting and analytics
(in partnership with marketing analyst) to identify real-time trends, provide actionable insights, and surface recommendations for optimization. Conduct audience and popular culture research and regular competitive monitoring. Ideal Candidate:
5-7 years previous digital marketing experience at an agency or at a brand with a successful digital subscription business + a working knowledge of relevant sports leagues (MLB, NHL, and NBA/WNBA). Curious self-starter: hungry to produce/contribute and never waiting around to be told what to do; there’s always work to be done and insights to be found. Exceptional project management: a master in juggling multiple projects across different platforms, while still being able to deliver to timelines. Superb oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. The candidate must be able to lead conversations and provide excellent, professional email communication with local team partners and business/community organizations. Innovator: passionate about challenging the status quo and a solutions-oriented problem solver with a strong customer focus, comfortable with ambiguity and evolving strategies in an ever-changing environment. Prior experience with: analytics + data visualization (Mixpanel), lifecycle marketing (Braze), MMP, a/b testing + optimization tools, audience segmentation, qualitative surveys + interpretation.
