Join our dynamic Ignition Lab Team in providing workforce development and entrepreneurship in STEM through Graphic Design.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
Assist with the development and implementation of a project-based curriculum designed to engage youth in Graphic Design including color theory, design principles, adobe creative suite, DIY website design. Help create engaging projects for students that expose them to the unique aspects of Graphic Design that include the creative process from briefs to final design. Create connections with local companies and non-profits to collaborate on client connected projects. Help students acquire industry related skills and market value assets. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree or equivalent professional experience in the development and delivery of lessons in Graphic Design Job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse populations and teens. Excellent organization and time management skills High level of self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work a flexible schedule including possible evenings and weekends for special workshops. Strong desire to work with high school youth

- to develop engaging lessons and activities for students that educate on the theory and practice of graphic design and have an awareness of current design trends in real world situations.
Communication
- that educates students during lessons in a way that they understand and conveys expectations of projects and class activities
Organization
- to be able to keep track of individual student progress and working with the other facilitators on collaborative projects
Technology
- advanced knowledge of Apple Mac and Adobe products including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
