Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented UX Designer in
Washington, DC

. In this role, you will be responsible for creating both low and high-fidelity wireframes to communicate design concepts to engineers, testers, and users. You will collaborate closely with business analysts to define workflows, analyze and improve the user experience for legacy applications, and propose enhancements to streamline processes. Additionally, you will present your design concepts to stakeholders, incorporate their feedback, and iterate designs as needed. Working closely with engineers, you will refine designs based on data analysis and implementation constraints, ensuring that all designs are not only user-friendly but also technically feasible. You will also collaborate with testers and business analysts to refine acceptance criteria, ensuring that designs are updated to meet evolving requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Wireframe Development:
Develop low and high-fidelity wireframes to communicate design concepts to engineers, testers, and users, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals. Collaboration with Business Analysts:
Work with business analysts to define workflows, analyze the user experience (UX) of legacy applications, and propose design improvements to enhance usability and functionality. Stakeholder Presentation:
Present design concepts and user flows to stakeholders, actively incorporate feedback, and iterate designs to meet stakeholder expectations. Refine Designs with Engineers:
Collaborate with engineers to refine designs based on data analysis and technical constraints, ensuring the final design is both usable and feasible for development. Acceptance Criteria Refinement:
Work with testers and business analysts to refine acceptance criteria for designs and adjust user interfaces as needed to ensure high-quality results. User Research:
Conduct user interviews, gather feedback, and collect data through customer observations to inform design decisions and improve overall user experience. UI Developer Collaboration:
Partner with UI developers, particularly those working with React, to clarify and refine designs for development, ensuring accurate implementation of the design vision. Required Qualifications:

7 years of experience in UX design or a related field, with a solid track record of designing intuitive, user-centered digital experiences. Proven experience as a UX Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating your expertise in developing wireframes and user-centered designs. Experience with Design Tools:

to create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups. Workflow Definition & Analysis:
Experience collaborating with business analysts to define complex workflows and present alternative design solutions to customers. User Research Experience:

This role requires the ability to be on your feet moving around for most of the day interacting with staff, contractors or contractor representatives, and work being performed. Walking:
This position may require an extensive amount of walking throughout the offices/buildings as needed. Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling:
This role may require occasional stooping or kneeling to transport technical equipment if needed or operate computers, etc. Using Hands/Fingers:
This role constantly operates technological office equipment such as laptop, mouse, keyboard, computer monitors, telephones, and scanners, copiers, and fax machines. Talking/Hearing:
This role requires constant communication with others in the organization to exchange information, review information, and make decisions about information. Seeing:
This role requires the ability to see, view, and distinguish all aspects of work to ensure accuracy on work performed. Carrying/Lifting:
