Job Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Marketing Assistant/Analyst 3 in Rancho Cordova, California. In this role, you will primarily be tasked with researching market conditions to determine potential sales of a product or service. You will also be responsible for gathering information on competitors and their marketing and distribution methods.
The Marketing Analyst plays a key role in researching market conditions at local, regional, and national levels to assess the potential demand for products and services. This role involves analyzing sales trends, gathering competitive intelligence, and evaluating marketing strategies to support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and forecast marketing and sales trends based on collected data.
- Conduct consumer research and collaborate with marketing teams, statisticians, and industry professionals to refine strategies.
- Design and assess data collection methods such as surveys, opinion polls, and questionnaires, or source existing data.
- Gather and analyze competitor data, including pricing, sales performance, and marketing strategies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communication campaigns.
- Develop and implement processes to assess advertising needs.
- Oversee and direct trained survey interviewers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with negotiation and customer service expertise.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in marketing principles, sales strategies, and promotional techniques.
- Understanding of media production, communication, and dissemination methods.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in marketing analysis or a similar role.
