The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, possesses strong editorial judgment, and has experience working with broadcast graphics systems and research tools.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Research & Content Development

  • Conduct in-depth research on rodeo athletes, Western sports history, event trends, and industry statistics.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of competitor rankings, results, historical comparisons, and key storylines.
  • Provide timely, accurate research materials for producers, announcers, and on-air talent to enhance live broadcasts.

Graphics Production & Integration

  • Oversee the creation of lower-thirds, leaderboards, real-time stats, and other on-screen graphics for live events and studio shows.
  • Collaborate with designers and technical teams to ensure accurate, visually appealing graphics for television and digital platforms.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of sports broadcast graphics workflows, including real-time data integration.

Live Event & Broadcast Support

  • Serve as a key point of contact for on-air talent, producers, and directors to provide research-driven insights and graphics support.
  • Monitor live events in real time, updating graphics and research materials as needed to keep broadcasts dynamic and engaging.
  • Work with graphics operators and production control rooms to ensure seamless execution of visual elements.
  • Troubleshoot last-minute changes and deliver quick-turnaround updates for breaking stories.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Experience working with broadcast graphics software (e.g., Vizrt, Chyron, Ross XPression, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent).
  • Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze data, verify facts, and craft compelling storylines.
  • Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, live sports environment with the ability to adapt quickly.
  • Ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team, including producers, directors, designers, and on-air talent.
  • 3+ years of experience in sports research, broadcast production, or graphics coordination.
  • Strong understanding of rodeo and Western sports, with experience producing high-energy, engaging live events.
