PURPOSE The Marketing & Events Coordinator will play a key role in developing and executing marketing, advertising, and event strategies for the commercial and residential aspects of the property. Reporting to the Associate Marketing Director, this role requires a self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The individual must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving marketing initiatives that enhance tenant and community engagement. Schedule and Pay: Full time The pay rate for this position is $65,000-$70,000 per year. Eligible for employer provided benefits as well as added income via an annual bonus potential. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES EVENTS: Plan, organize, and execute The Square, City and county-wide events, including direct participation during nights and weekends as needed. Build and maintain relationships with tenants, local businesses/vendors, and community organizations to drive engagement and promote The Square brand. Create and maintain a comprehensive event calendar, tracking performance, budgets, and vendor relationships. Communicate upcoming event schedules and marketing initiatives to tenants and residents, collaborating with internal and third-party groups when necessary. Planning and executing the marketing around all events inclusive of event signage, emails, and social media. MARKETING: Develop and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual marketing plans for The Square and assigned residential Morguard owned and managed communities. Assist onsite teams with implementation of Marketing plans and related activities, as necessary. Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including property websites, social media, lead generation campaigns, and publicity efforts. Manage digital and online marketing and advertising initiatives; property websites, ILS listings, Google business listings, social media, lead generation campaigns; publicity campaigns. Manage relationships with advertising vendors, analyze performance metrics, and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI. Provide analytical insights on marketing efforts and report findings to management, offering data-driven recommendations for future initiatives. Assist the General Manager – Mixed Use- in various day-to-day property specific duties. Create a monthly and annual events calendar with pricing, vendors, to be able to track performance and spend. Assist and manage special projects as they arise and pertain to The Square and assigned residential Morguard owned and managed communities. Present marketing initiatives and analytics to the board on a quarterly basis or as needed. Qualifications: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Minimum 3 years of experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Events or related field preferred. Strong self-starter mentality with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative without constant supervision. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities effectively. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event and business needs. Experience in event planning, community engagement, and partnership development. Proficiency in digital marketing strategies, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising. The ideal candidate is proficient in social media and enjoys creating and engaging with content across various platforms. The candidate should have a strong understanding of current trends, best practices, and analytics that drive engagement and brand awareness effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing materials and presentations.
