Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent experience

Required Experience:

• 5+ years experience in technical design with Women's intimates apparel and/or swimwear
• Experience with participating or owned their own fittings
• Must be able to write up fit comments & pattern corrections
• Must have centric training
• Must be proficient with Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and Flex PLM

Required Soft Skills:

• Ability to maintain composure in a stressful situation

Additional Required Qualifications:

• Must be local to the Manhattan, NY area and able to work onsite

Senior Technical Designer Responsibilities:

• Responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit
• Analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications
• Ensuring that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications
• Developing technical specifications and communicating fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections
• Making appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price
• Typically reports to Technical Services Manager and directs Assistant or Associate Technical Designers
