JOB DESCRIPTION This is a management-level position that involves both Marketing and Government Relations work.The Marketing Manager develops and implements ideas, activities and programs that create a positive and persuasive organizational image and message that connects with the community to achieve increased ridership and public support through public relations, advertising and marketing initiatives. An employee in a position allocated to this class coordinates a variety of informational projects to keep the public aware of the County's programs, needs, special projects and accomplishments. Works with Legislative & Government Affairs to help maintain relationships with local, state and federal elected officials, and stakeholders to advance public transportation issues. Monitors interim, activates when the state legislature is not in session. QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED and seven (7) years of experience in marketing/communications management;
OR
an associate degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field and five (5) years of experience as listed above;
OR
a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field and three (3) years of experience as listed above. An equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience will be considered. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Valid Florida State Driver's License. Ability to lift equipment and/or supplies weighing ten (10) pounds.
