Job Description: The Social Media Specialist plays a vital role in supporting our corporate social media strategy. You will work as part of the social media team to assist in the development and execution of social media initiatives that enhance the company's online presence, engage target audiences, and drive business growth.

How You'll Spend Your Time:

  • Collaborate with the social media manager and strategist to execute the corporate social media strategy.
  • Create, edit, and schedule content to positively position the company across social platforms.
  • Work with internal associates to optimize their social media presence and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Monitor the employee advocacy program and escalate non-compliant requests for review.
  • Use software to monitor social media activity and assist with reporting and analysis.

Education & Experience Requirements: This level of knowledge is normally acquired through a completion of a bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or a related field of study and a minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in social media management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with financial services or project management preferred.

  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms for business use (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok).
  • Demonstrates a strong enthusiasm for diving into social media analytics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-urgency projects while ensuring high-quality work.
  • Strong team player who works collaboratively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing requirements.
  • A passion for social media and staying current with industry trends.
  • Basic experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite).
  • Graphic design skills are a plus.
  • Employee advocacy experience is a plus.
