Job Title: Broadcast Specialist
Location: NYC (Day 1 Onsite)

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Network/System Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on Television Broadcast, Streaming, and OTT services, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in network or systems deployment supporting Television Broadcast, Streaming, and OTT services.
- Prior experience working in a Television Operations Center, with 24/7 monitoring of live video and audio streams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address and resolve incidents escalated from the Tier 2 Analyst team.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting by following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Triage and escalate incidents as needed while ensuring complete ownership of tickets until resolution.
- Validate issue descriptions, conduct thorough diagnostics, and log incidents in the trouble- ticketing system.
- Manage backlog tickets from previous shifts, ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Track external escalations, follow up on outstanding tickets, and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Participate in, manage, and drive major incident resolution.
- Develop post-mortem reports and lead problem management efforts.
- Coordinate with customers and stakeholders on escalated incidents and send regular outage notifications.
- Work on service requests and assist with new station turn-ups.
- Provide feedback on troubleshooting processes and identify gaps in documentation.
- Create and update SOPs as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the team lead or manager.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, including system overviews, SOPs, and network diagrams.
- Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings and shift handovers, ensuring a smooth transition between shifts.
Required Skills & Experience:
- At least 7 years of experience as an L3 engineer or team lead in a Video NOC, technical support center, or network troubleshooting environment involving broadcast, streaming, OTT platforms, or MVPD operations.
- Strong understanding of NOC monitoring tools and event-handling procedures.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
- Hands-on experience with incident management, ticketing systems, and maintenance request support.
- In-depth knowledge of data networking, data communications, and video networking technologies.
- Proficiency in switching and routing technologies, including CLI-based configurations for Cisco and Juniper devices.
- Expertise in network monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor and SolarWinds NTA.
- Experience with firewall configuration and deployment, including Fortinet FortiGate, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and Juniper SRX.
- Hands-on experience with Juniper MX40, EX4200, SRX 1500 series, and Juniper Apstra.
- Proficiency in configuring and administering F5 Big-IP Load Balancers (GTM and LTM) and developing iRules for server load balancing.
- Experience deploying and managing Splunk (SIEM) for log aggregation and security monitoring.
- Expertise in SD-WAN solutions, including vEdge, vBond, vSmart, and vManage.
- Knowledge of wireless infrastructure technologies such as Cisco Meraki, Aruba ClearPass, WLANs, RF tuning, and BYOD management.
- Strong expertise in Audio/Video technologies, including MPEG-4/H.264, HEVC/H.265, ASI, MPEG2 Transport Streams, (HD-)SDI ATSC, PCM, and AC3.
- Experience with at least two video platforms (e.g., Telestream/Tektronix, Medius/Sentry, Sencore, Tag) and a deep understanding of video delivery networks.
- Proficiency in video acquisition, encoding, encryption, and distribution.
- Ability to troubleshoot audio/video technologies, IPTV platforms, and network switching/routing protocols.
- Experience implementing configuration changes and deploying project-based solutions.
- Ability to guide and mentor Video Operations Analysts.
- Experience in problem management, RCA development, and post-mortem reporting in coordination with Video Operations Analyst Leads.
- Familiarity with American sports events (e.g., MLB, NFL, NBA, College Football).
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift-based operations environment.
