As a Senior RF Engineer, you will spearhead projects across multiple functions collaborating closely with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers. Our client is excited to offer an exceptional career opportunity for a Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer (Level IV) at our Arizona facility in the southeast Phoenix area. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a flagship facility and engage in cutting-edge Military & Defense projects. You’ll be part of an innovative team working hand in hand with Prime OEMs by designing and developing state-of-the-art Integrated Microwave Assemblies.

Job Summary:

As a Senior RF Engineer, your role will be pivotal in delivering engineering solutions for RF/Microwave/Millimeter communications hardware systems tailored for defense applications.

Core Responsibilities of the Senior RF Engineer:

  1. Advanced Systems Analysis: Perform comprehensive systems analysis, modeling, and simulation of circuit or system performance, employing advanced analytical tools. This includes cascade analysis for up/down converters.
  2. Innovative Design and Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis and design of RF and mixed-signal communications hardware components, including but not limited to digital receiver subsystems and exciters. This involves mastery over various components such as front ends, IF sections, phase-lock loops, AGC loops, synthesizers, and A/D and D/A conversion processes.
  3. Filter Design Excellence: Engage in sophisticated filter modeling, analysis, and design.
  4. System Integration: Direct the system integration, testing, and development of RF/millimeter-wave communications hardware for spaceflight applications, exploring new communications technologies for spaceflight.
  5. Collaborative Team Efforts: Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure that designs meet all customer and internal requirements, serving as the primary technical interface for customers, participating in technical meetings, and aiding in the development of customer specification.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 8 years in microwave/millimeter-wave design theory and component design, with substantial experience in delivering high reliability hardware from conceptual design to flight delivery.
  2. Expertise in microwave modeling tools such as Genesys, ADS, AWR, Ansoft HFSS, Designer, Maxwell, Matlab, and AutoCAD is crucial.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of complex communication systems theory, RF architecture, IMAs and circuit design.
  4. Expert knowledge in RF and mixed-signal design techniques and technologies.
  5. Education: Bachelor or Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
