Summary:
The Business Development Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the organization’s marketing and business development efforts as well as leading the administration of the firm’s internal operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the firm’s CRM and deal pipeline tracking efforts, including acting as the point of contact for inputing data and tracking interactions with clients.
- Manage internal business development reporting and conduct deal activity analyses to educate team members on transaction activity trends.
- Cultivate new and maintain existing intermediary relationships through industry networking and conference attendance. Coordinate efforts with members of the investment team.
- Conduct outbound marketing campaigns to targeted intermediaries and private companies as well as in support of specific investment theses/initiatives.
- Help support industry and company specific research using proprietary and subscription based tools as a primary screening resource.
- Assist investment team members by identifying industry conferences and trade association events that align with investment theses
- Develop, update and maintain company marketing collateral (1-page tearsheets, etc.) for use during conferences, intermediary meetings, etc.
- Administer the NDA signing process, track destruction notices and ensure tracking on active NDAs.
- Help coordinate meetings and team events.
- Plan and organize board meetings and annual off-site meetings with partner companies.
- Coordinate recruiting efforts at MBA programs for intern recruiting.
- Lead administrative efforts around portfolio company governance, filings and documentation
- Manage the needs and logistics of the firm’s office
Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience in marketing, business development, or a similar function, preferably in financial services.
- Microsoft Office Suit (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.) expertise
- Experience working with CRM systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment with the initiative, resourcefulness, and attention to detail to support a lean team.
- Understanding of the value for cultivating and maintaining relationships with clients, including investment banks, business brokers and business owners.
