The Role

The Role:

The eMarketing Counselor helps florists create and execute their digital marketing strategies. As an important member of the eFlorist team, Teleflora's web hosting business, this role serves as a critical touchpoint for our florists and is responsible for helping them build brand awareness, increase website traffic, and convert browsers to customers. This role works with our florists to provide Internet marketing assistance and partners with other eFlorist team members (including its UX, Product Management, and Technical Support teams) to be a one-stop shop for florists concerning their website's performance and marketing. An eMarketing Counselor will also help set our florists up for success by orienting new shops to the eFlorist website and how to use it to help with their e-marketing needs.

In addition, the ideal candidate will be familiar with small-scale paid media programs, search engine optimization efforts, basic web analytics, and website-design principles to help educate, develop, and advise on a comprehensive digital marketing strategy for our florists. The candidate will also need to learn (and ultimately teach florists how) to leverage their eFlorist website and its functionality to reach a florist's marketing goals.

This role is located in the company's technology facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and will report to theeCommerce Marketing and Accounts Managerin Oklahoma City. This role sits within the Marketing function of the eFlorist team. Due to Covid-19, Teleflora employees currently work from home. You will need to have a quiet, home office area with reliable internet coverage and will be provided with equipment. Working from home is temporary and employees will return to the office inOklahoma City, OKat a later time this year

A day in the life at Teleflora:

Meet and exceed customer service standards in responding to florists' internet marketing questions, educating florists on eFlorist product and services, and proactively identifying and addressing opportunities for florists to improve digital marketing performanceAnalyze member florist websites and business situations quickly and accurately, drawing on Teleflora's resources and other SEO tools (i.e. conduct search keyword research, evaluate paid search performance, and review website analytics)Develop insightful, thorough recommendations to improve technical, design, content, on-page and off-page optimization elements of websitesBe knowledgeable on wide range of topics, including organic optimization, paid search marketing, blog implementation, link-building, etc.Keep current with the latest eCommerce marketing tactics, e.g. SEO, SEM, social media, etc., and maintain expertise on all eFlorist marketing services and products

Work both independently and as a team, in collaboration with other eMarketing CounselorsManage florist relationships through scheduled phone consultations and unscheduled requests and questionsDesign and deliver training classes to various internal and external groups on occasionYour contribution to Teleflora:

High school diploma or equivalentExcellent customer service skills. Motivated to achieve and maintain high levels of internal and external customer satisfactionDesire to explain, teach, coach and generally enable our customers to use our tools to achieve meaningful results for themselves over the long-termDeep knowledge and interest in SEO, SEM, blogs and business analytics and ability to make critical design and technical recommendationsExcellent written, verbal, and analytical skills. Able to determine key takeaways from a dataset and to communicate your recommendations for a florist in a clear and summarized mannerStrong interpersonal and presentation skills. Able to communicate technical concepts these in a manner that non-technical florists can understand

Proven ability to prioritize and deliver multiple projects, adhering to tight deadlines in a constantly changing and extremely fast paced environment2+ years of internet marketing experience preferredExperience working with small/medium business also preferredComfortable interacting with florists (both familiar and unfamiliar) regularly on the phonePerks
