The VP of Alternatives Marketing, Global Wealth Alternatives works alongside the Global Head of Alternatives Marketing, and the respective Wealth Client Marketing leaders, to set product marketing strategy and objectives for Nuveen’s alternative products designed specifically for individual investors. This leader will drive awareness of Nuveen’s alternative offering among high-net-worth clients and financial advisors, supporting fundraising efforts for the firm’s expanding wealth alternatives offering globally.
Based in Nuveen’s New York or Charlotte office, the role will play a critical role in helping to drive cross-functional initiatives to grow adoption of Nuveen’s flagship wealth alternatives investment strategies, and will require working across Nuveen’s alternatives businesses, including Churchill Asset Management, Arcmont Asset Management, Nuveen Real Estate and others, to bring investment opportunities to individuals around the globe. Close collaboration with the UK, Asia Pacific and U.S.-based marketing teams is required, helping to provide an effective integrated marketing approach.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Develop and lead product-specific marketing plans designed to deepen market share and grow adoption of Nuveen’s semi-liquid alternative offerings across real estate, private capital, and real assets via vehicles inclusive of non-listed REITs, BDCs, private access funds, tender offer and interval funds.
Create top-tier, differentiated content inclusive of product collateral, educational brochures, thought leadership, sales presentations and digital assets that effectively explain complex alternative investment strategies and concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
Develop stories and well-told narratives that articulate Nuveen’s alternatives value prop and investment approach.
Partner with key stakeholders across product, investment teams, portfolio strategists and global client group teams as well as marketing colleagues to ensure competitive differentiation of products across collateral and campaigns.
Assess market trends, competitive positioning and client behaviors to inform and optimize messaging and content development.
Partner to develop and execute integrated thematic campaigns leveraging full suite of paid, earned and owned marketing levers, including digital, social, email, webinar, advertising, event, sales enablement, etc., in close alignment with client marketing partners globally.
Continually leverage data and real-time learning to enhance materials to optimally support sales execution and ensure proper alignment of resources.
Responsible for product performance updates and shareholder letters for evergreen offerings.
Advise on regulatory and compliance considerations based on product structure, audience and/or jurisdiction.
Manage a small but growing team requiring nimble balancing of team management alongside hands-on content creation and project management.
Educational Requirements
University (Degree) Preferred.
Work Experience
5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred.
