About the Job

The Media Coordinator is an essential part of the JCamps Team. The Media Coordinator is responsible for helping to tell the story of camp through taking photos and video footage of campers and camp activities to be used in marketing materials, social media posts, and distributed to parents.

You’ll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:

• Capture and edit photos and videos of campers, staff, and camp activities, ensuring that a variety of campers and activities are represented.
• Make daily posts to JCamps app and JCamps social media accounts.
• Collate and write camp news stories/microblogs for JCamps app.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years old. Eligible candidates also must have graduated from High School or obtained a GED by the start of camp. JCamps staff are required to pass all criminal history background checks, including an FBI fingerprint check. They must also obtain a current CPR and First-Aid certification.
• The Media Coordinator will be based out of the Youth and Teen Office but will be expected to execute daily responsibilities throughout Shalom Austin’s campus. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds. The Media Coordinator must have the ability to be outside and handle Austin summer heat and must provide their own equipment and editing software.
• This position is a seasonal full-time position. The expected hours are from 8AM-4PM Monday through Friday, with opportunities to work until 5:30. Seasonal work begins June 1 and goes through August 1 with opportunities to work through August 15. Hours are subject to change based on the camp’s needs.
