Position Summary

This role will serve as the Marketo subject matter expert (SME), ensuring the platform supports our marketing goals through efficient processes, scalable programs, and seamless integrations. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence by developing best practices, training cross-functional teams, and aligning marketing and business development efforts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Marketo Administration:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Marketo, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and user permissions.
  • Design and implement scalable Marketo programs, including email campaigns, nurture workflows, and lead scoring models.
  • Monitor platform health and ensure best practices for deliverability, automation, and data integrity.
  • Setup key performance metrics and analytics dashboards to measure impact of campaigns and assess overall engagement metrics and spend efficiency.
  • Program Architecture & Execution:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build and optimize multi-channel campaigns (e.g., email, webinars, nurtures, paid media, etc.).
  • Architect and automate lifecycle programs to improve customer engagement, lead nurturing, and retention.
  • Develop and maintain campaign templates and processes to support marketing efforts across business units.
  • Training & Enablement:
  • Provide training and support to broader teams on Marketo functionality, campaign execution, and reporting.
  • Document and share best practices to improve platform adoption and operational efficiency.
  • Marketing Operations Strategy:
  • Work with team members to implement campaign naming conventions, lifecycle models, lead scoring, and lead nurture workflows.
  • Scalable setup and implementation of segmentation, personalization, and other ways to leverage Marketo for campaign optimization.
  • Marketing Technology Integrations:
  • Work with team members to implement integrations between Marketo and Vision/Vantagepoint to ensure accurate data flow and seamless lead management.
  • Evaluate and manage integrations with other marketing tools (e.g., ZoomInfo, webinar platforms, analytics tools, and attribution platforms).
  • Data Management & Governance:
  • Ensure data hygiene and governance within Marketo, implementing processes for clean, accurate, and compliant data.
  • Collaborate with Analytics team to ensure data integration is set up correctly.
  • Ensure Marketo analytics and insights dashboards are set up and functioning properly to present monthly and quarterly performance to the team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with Demand Generation, Business Development, and Client Success teams to align on lead management processes and improve funnel performance.
  • Work closely with IT to manage system upgrades and troubleshoot technical issues related to the tech stack.


Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of experience in marketing operations, with deep expertise in Marketo administration. Knowledge of Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint a plus.
  • Proven experience in designing and building scalable programs within Marketo, including automation workflows, scoring models, and nurture campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM integration (Salesforce preferred) and multi-platform data synchronization.
  • Experience developing training programs and coaching teams on marketing technologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in campaign performance reporting, attribution models, and marketing analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data management and governance practices, including compliance with GDPR and CCPA.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of implementing scalable processes across teams.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across departments.
