About the role

The Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing retailer-specific trade marketing strategies to drive brand growth, successful product launches, and exclusive retail programs. This role will support the broader marketing and sales objectives by ensuring seamless coordination between global marketing initiatives and retail execution. Reporting to the Director of Trade Marketing, the Trade Marketing Manager will play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with retail partners, managing marketing activations, and optimizing trade spend efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement seasonal and long-term retailer-specific trade marketing strategies, including product launches and exclusive programs.
  • Create and distribute campaign toolkits, ensuring all retailer content, assets, and deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with Global Marketing to align brand marketing campaigns with retailer-specific requirements.
  • Manage retailer product setup forms, ensuring accurate and timely submission of all required documents and assets.
  • Oversee and coordinate offsite customer events with retail partners.
  • Maintain and update retailer marketing calendars and internal trackers for promotional activities and activations.
  • Support Retail Accounts in retail market week meetings, preparing presentations and sales materials.
  • Organize and lead internal meetings, providing detailed recaps and managing follow-ups.
  • Monitor retailer launch readiness, key dates, and program execution.
  • Analyze post-launch retailer program performance and provide insights for optimization.


E-Trade Marketing:

  • Partner with the Global Digital team and E-Commerce Manager to develop and optimize PDP page content and assets to maximize sales conversion.
  • Oversee retailer creative needs for digital and social media, ensuring timely and on-specification asset delivery.
  • Support Ratings & Reviews seeding programs in collaboration with the E-Commerce Manager and track campaign effectiveness.


Sampling & Budget Management:

  • Manage retailer sampling programs, including forecasting, budgeting, and post-activation ROI analysis.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing to develop innovative sampling formats.
  • Track and assess trade spending utilization and effectiveness.


Industry Knowledge & Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on competitive trade marketing initiatives, including customer events, trade activations, PDP assets, and merchandising.
  • Provide market insights and recommendations to the Brand Marketing team.


Role - Specific Skills:

  • Strong trade/retail marketing experience, ideally in beauty/luxury sectors, with a focus on product launches and retail strategy.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with retail partners to develop effective trade strategies.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and ability to manage cross-functional relationships.
  • Financial acumen with an understanding of ROI, trade spend allocation, and business impact analysis.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop team members.


Desired Background and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in trade/retail marketing, preferably in the beauty/luxury industry.
  • Strong track record of executing trade marketing programs and retail activations.
  • Experience managing retailer marketing budgets and measuring program effectiveness.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, e-commerce, and retail content optimization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities.
