Our client is a leading accounting and tax software provider in search of an exceptional Instructional Designer / Development expert who thrives in a creative, fast-paced, high-energy culture with a passion for providing awesome learning experiences.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background / understanding in ADDIE models, strong design skills, and creating storyboards for interactive learning experiences.


*This job is a 4-month W2 contract role with benefits & paid holidays!*


HYBRID SCHEDULE: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote (flexible on which 3 days)

  • Our client's Expert Learning Network team is looking for a highly competent, detail-oriented team member who possesses a unique balance of technical depth, training knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • This role requires excellent project management skills, strategic thinking and problem solving, and strong communication skills.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Instructional Design background or degree
  • FinTech background as an Instructional Designer preferred
  • STRONG adult learning principles preferred over FinTech background
  • 4+ years of experience with adult learning theory and instructional design strategies for performance-based outcomes
  • Ability to innovate and move quickly from analysis through development for self-paced environment
  • Ability to facilitate brainstorming sessions and gather requirements from partners
  • Advanced skill with multimedia tools, software, video, graphics, and audio applications, such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, and Audacity
  • Experience with project management and time management methodologies to prioritize and deliver on several projects concurrently
  • Demonstrated experience communicating technical/complicated concepts and processes using clear, simple language and visuals
  • Experience conducting quality analysis reviews of online learning materials
  • Engages in self-continuous improvement to remain informed on best practices, new technologies, methods, and techniques in the performance improvement profession


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead projects through the design lifecycle including scoping, research and analysis, design, development, and launch. Provide clear timelines through all phases, communicate with key partners, and select appropriate measurement for successful implementation.
  • Consult with program owners and subject matter experts to identify performance gaps and learning objectives and assess learners, performance outcomes, and evaluation strategies.
  • Manage and develop professionally written, engaging learning.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering meetings with key partners to identify needs and task analysis, scope projects, and evaluate existing content to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to support performance-based learning objectives.
  • Lead or independently develop instructional materials (tutorials, digital interactives, user guides, audio, and video content (including scripts), storyboards, simulations, activities, assessment tests, etc.) that transform into professionally written, engaging learning.
  • Project manage to timelines through all phases and with ability to balance multiple projects.
  • Be the voice of the learner, ensuring their needs are at the forefront of our content efforts and helping our team iterate and improve on our content offerings.
