Position Purpose
The Atlanta Dream is seeking a growth marketing expert, reporting to the Director, Business Intelligence and Digital Strategy, in our next phase of fan acquisition and revenue growth. This position will spearhead innovative and effective marketing strategies focused on new fan acquisition and audience growth, ticket sales for Atlanta Dream home games and significantly fuel e-commerce revenue. This is a high-impact opportunity to win the attention of untapped audiences and convert them into passionate, long-term Dream fans. You'll own the strategy and optimization of marketing campaigns across both owned and paid channels, partnering closely with ticketing and retail teams to maximize conversion. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Design paid marketing experimentation campaigns that aim to unlock new audiences and emerging channels as tactical levers for growing the Atlanta Dream fanbase. • Strategize, execute and analyze all digital paid advertising campaigns for the Dream to drive awareness, ticket sales, leads and e-commerce sales via self-serve platforms & partnerships with media vendors. • Make paid advertising decisions to get higher performing creative built quickly, mitigating spend on ads that are not driving results. • Manage and monitor digital paid media budget, inclusive of tracking invoices, working with finance to manage payment and forecasting on a monthly basis. • Manage and design holistic measurement strategies for all platforms and initiatives including, pixel and conversion tracking ensuring seamless and accurate tracking of all efforts back to goals while ensuring we are capturing signals needed to establish long-term value. • Drive lifecycle marketing strategy through personalization and automation, optimizing the fan's digital journey across all Atlanta Dream touchpoints. • Lead strategy, execution and analysis for email marketing, SMS marketing and Atlanta Dream website. • Own holistic marketing reporting, including but not limited to, key metrics across paid advertising, social, email marketing, illustrating the impact marketing and content has on reaching our business goals. • Collect, manage, organize, and present campaign reporting to share performance and learnings with cross-functional and senior leadership teams. • Identify and develop testing opportunities (A/B and multivariate tests) that drive campaign efficiency and/or scale volume. • Evaluate and recommend key tactics that increase return on ad spend (ROAS), cost per acquisition (CPA), click through rate and decrease bounce rate, cart abandon rate, etc. • Identify and communicate content insights to increase performance of ads to creative and content team. • Take an audience-first mindset to translate data to insights to help the organization better understand consumer and fan feedback to the digital experience, focused on the digital purchasing experience.
Required Education, Experience, Traits and Skills
• 5+ years of experience in a direct-to-consumer organization or agency in media buying, performance marketing and/or a growth role. • Minimum 3 years of experience with lifecycle marketing across channels such as email, SMS and web. • Minimum 3 years of media buying experience in paid social, paid search, and via DSPs. • Minimum 1-2 years of people management experience. • Expert knowledge in paid media execution, ad tech, tracking, and analytics. • Ability to work closely with analytics and data science to inform strategy. Must have hands-on experience manipulating your own data (SQL or Excel) and visualizing it (Power BI, Tableau, Mode, Looker, or similar platforms). • Experience conducting content, segmentation, and A/B testing to improve efficiency and scale. • Exposure to HTML and CSS, with experience managing websites. • Incredibly detail oriented. • Experience with data visualization, building reports and being able to consolidate data into key insights. • Experience working closely with CRM and CDPs to leverage and action off of audience insights for marketing campaigns. • The ability to provide creative support and insight to the content team across graphic design, social and video production. • Able to work out of Atlanta Dream offices, attend all Atlanta Dream home games, and work all Atlanta Dream away games remotely when applicable. • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
Work Schedule: Normal office hours; plus all Atlanta Dream games; nights/weekends when applicable
This is a full-time exempt position.
