Studio Seilern Architects is seeking a bid writer with prior experience in architectural offices to join our New York City office.
Studio Seilern Architects is offering an exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer to join its award-winning practice, working out of our New York office. We are seeking a creative and ambitious individual, who resonates with our approach and can take the lead on creating a cohesive and consistent studio profile, helping us shape our voice in the architectural industry.
About the role:
- Working with the Principal and Senior Team to deliver high-quality bid documents, prepare responses to Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), write our qualifications case studies, competition entries, and award submissions.
- Responsible for collaborating with firm colleagues and supervisor in writing content for use in proposals, bids, presentations, and all supporting documentation, ensuring a cohesive and consistent approach.
- Supporting firm leadership in identifying tender opportunities, from monitoring tender portals and OJEU notices, to conducting original client research, and presenting relevant opportunities to the management team.
- Responsible for producing and compiling bid documents for responses to RFQs and solicitations, including but not limited to composing Company Profiles, Team Organizational Charts, Design Approach, Management Methodology, and Team CVs.
- Managing and updating writing in all marketing collateral including publications, portfolios, and CVs.
- Reviewing competitions lists and compiling PQQs, tenders, proposals.

Skills:
- Demonstrable prior experience writing bids in an architectural practice is essential, and experience in bid writing within the architectural industry for at least 2 years is preferred.
- Creative writing, grant-writing or journalism background is beneficial.
- Excellent writing skills, including copywriting and copyediting.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent InDesign skills.
- Self-motivated and autonomous working.
