JOB SUMMARY:
The Communications and Content Design Manager will be responsible for developing compelling narrative and visual content that enhances communications and engages employees and other audiences across multiple platforms including TM intranet, backstage digital boards and electronic newsletters. It will be responsible for helping to create internal communications campaigns alongside destination and division teams, developing newsletter articles that are supported by visuals and videos, driving the process and appropriate content management from idea through execution to distribution, while tracking also results. The Communications and Content Design Manager will play a critical role in ensuring alignment with the company’s brand and messaging strategy and will be responsible for evaluating, editing, managing internal content, and measuring its effectiveness across key channels. Duties include managing workflows and standardizing internal communication efforts to ensure they adhere to brand standards ensuring the appropriate approval processes are followed. The Communications and Content Design Manager will also work closely with content ambassadors and other Internal Communications Team Members across destination and division departments to bring relevant stories to life for global UDX Team Members. This position will also work closely with the Brand Studio team to develop content for enterprise-wide meetings, Town Halls, the employee intranet, emails, digital slides, and employee social channels.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the execution of a UDX’s communications plan – aimed at internal and external audiences – and develop and write engaging content for internal communications, including intranet and newsletter articles, email communications, leadership messages, and other digital signage. Transform complex ideas and business initiatives into compelling narratives that resonate with employees. Create visually appealing content such as graphics, infographics, and text-based videos to support communication initiatives and overall brand reinforcement. Collaborate with other internal groups to conceptualize and produce visual storytelling assets, including digital slides(Keynote and PowerPoint), social content, and video scripts. Work with designers, videographers, and other creative professionals to enhance messaging with strong visual elements. Capture and edit video and photography content (preferred but not required). Help communicate communications standards across destinations & divisions through compelling digital storytelling, layout, and workflow enhancements. Ensure all content aligns with organizational values, priorities, and branding guidelines. Partner with Brand Studio, IP and brand assurance teams and DigiCon teams for visual alignment.
Utilize project management tools to support and maintain an editorial calendar, ensuring timely and relevant communication to Team Members and other audiences. Collaborate with stakeholders to secure their story topics and themes and align them to the annual UDX internal communications plan. Support enterprise-wide meetings and Town Halls by crafting scripts, contributing to presentations, and other communication materials. Serve in a support role at these events onsite or virtually, including operating teleprompters, advancing slides and other key logistics. Support the development of a company content library of assets that can be leveraged across leaders, Teams, and Divisions. Ensure consistency in messaging across all internal communication touchpoints
Develop strategies to improve employee engagement and awareness of company initiatives through compelling and informative content across channels. Manage content workflows for the employee intranet, internal email campaigns, employee social channels, and other internal communication platforms.
Coordinate asset sourcing and management using Media Valet for intranet content. Have fluency and mastery in working in SharePoint including posting, editing, and measuring content performance. Monitor and analyze metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns and projects across various channels including digital signs, email newsletters, intranet. Use metrics and content performance to refine processes, content plans and enhance future initiatives
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Journalism, Multimedia Studies or related field strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience in communication with and emphasis on content creation, creative development or a related field.
Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a strong ability to simplify complex topics.
Experience in designing or overseeing the creation of visual assets, including graphics and infographics.
Proficiency in content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), Canva and presentation design platforms (Keynote and Powerpoint) or Canva.
Experience with photography, video shooting and/or editing is a plus and preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Experience in agency or in-house creative team.
Strong understanding of internal communication best practices; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Must be a clear communicator able to collaborate with cross-functional groups, including Marketing, HR, Brand Studio, and Leadership.
Experience working in a corporate or enterprise environment is a plus.
Experience managing or contributing to social media channels.
