Electrical CAD Technician
Location: On-site
Pay Range: $20-24/hour , CTH
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical CAD Technician to join our team! As a key member of our technical team, you will work alongside Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers to support the planning and design of system improvements, including capacity upgrades, pole replacements, and recloser reconditioning. This role offers a great opportunity for growth and development in the field of electrical CAD design.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing new engineering drawings and revising existing drawings of basic components based on specific sketches or layouts.
- Adhere to company and client drafting standards and procedures.
- Follow ANSI standard drafting practices.
- Assist with design, drafting, and documentation for various projects.
- Work with various drafting and design software tools.
- Support ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in a CAD-related program or a specialized CAD certification, with at least 2 years of relevant drafting experience.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn and grow within the field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in the use of: Distribution Design Studio, Electric Office, FieldView, PDS, EEMS, TLM, STORMS, OPS, and JERI.
