Assists the Member Services Manager and Supervisor with the preparation and revision of daily schedules. Provides training support for probationary employees, and monitors student employee performance/training. Trains adult and youth volunteers; handles circulation policy and procedure questions when the supervisor is absent; assists in the timekeeping, lending, and recovery of Library materials; performs cash handling/fine collection duties; registers borrowers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of college-level coursework (must specify 60-semester/90-quarter hours) AND one (1) year of experience working in a library. Equivalencies: Graduation from high school/equivalent; one (1) year of college-level coursework (must specify 30-semester/45-quarter hours) AND two (2) years of related experience OR graduation from high school/equivalent AND three (3) years of related experience.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE IN/WITH: Training personnel; customer service/in-person public contact in a library/bookstore/retail environment; cash handling; using an automated circulation system (must specify on application). Also desirable: Bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
