About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Sprinkler Design Engineer with NICET II Certification to join our team. This role is responsible for designing fire sprinkler systems that comply with industry standards, local codes, and project specifications. The ideal candidate has experience in system layout, hydraulic calculations, and material selection, ensuring efficient and code-compliant fire protection solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD, Revit, or other industry-specific software.
Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure system compliance with NFPA standards.
Select appropriate materials and equipment for fire protection systems.
Create and submit detailed construction drawings, technical documentation, and submittals for approval.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure proper system installation.
Conduct site visits to verify system layout and installation accuracy.
Stay updated on industry regulations, NFPA codes, and local fire protection standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams and clients.
Qualifications:
NICET Level II Certification in Water-Based Systems Layout (Required).
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other fire protection design software.
Strong understanding of NFPA standards, particularly NFPA 13.
Experience with hydraulic calculation software (such as HydraCAD or SprinkCAD) is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design or a related field.
Knowledge of local building and fire codes.
Experience coordinating with AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction).
