Remote Sales Representative – Pro Audio & Musical Instruments (Southeast, Independent Contractor)

Location: Preferably Florida (Miami or Orlando area), but open to strong candidates elsewhere.

Compensation:

  1. $1,500–$2,500/month base, depending on experience.
  2. Experienced reps with existing dealer relationships may start at $2,500/month.
  3. Newer reps start at $1,500/month, with the opportunity to take on larger accounts after 6 months based on performance.
  4. Commission + dealer acquisition incentives included.

Streetwise Sales is a leading independent manufacturers’ rep firm specializing in pro audio, MI, DJ, and lighting brands.

What You’ll Do

  1. Find and open new dealer accounts– Focus on MI retailers, online resellers, rental houses, and AV contractors.
  2. Expand sales with existing dealers– Increase volume and product diversity per account.
  3. Conduct outreach remotely– Cold calling, emails, and video meetings will be your primary tools.
  4. Use our product specialists for in-person support– When needed, bring in an expert for demos and training.
  5. Close deals and grow revenue– Convert leads into recurring dealer relationships.
  6. Track sales activity in the CRM– Maintain pipeline visibility, follow-up schedules, and dealer engagement.

  1. $1,500-$2500/month draw– Commission-based structure with uncapped earning potential.
  2. Commissions on dealer salesThe more you sell, the more you earn.

Who You Are

  1. Proven sales experience– Background in musical instruments, pro audio, or DJ gear sales required.
  2. A closer– You know how to sell, not just build relationships.
  3. Comfortable with cold outreach– You’ll spend most of your time prospecting and developing new accounts.
  4. Gear-savvy– You understand synths, keyboards, live sound, recording equipment, and MI accessories.
  5. Organized and self-motivated– You manage your own schedule and sales pipeline.
  6. Able to travel when needed– While most sales will be remote, you should be available for high-profile meetings.
