Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

JOB SUMMARY

The SEO Senior Specialist is responsible for utilizing data-driven insights to optimize website performance and achieve measurable results for our clients’ websites. They play a crucial role in driving organic growth and overall digital marketing success for our healthcare clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Reporting

Pulls, organizes, and visualizes website analytics data to write performance insights and assists in recommending optimizations that align with website goals.

Technical and Content Optimization

Reviews organic performance and conducts competitive research to recommend optimizations that will improve a website's SEO.

Website QA

Audits websites in both staging and live environments to ensure all SEO recommendations are implemented correctly and communicate any discrepancies that need to be fixed.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with cross-functional teams such as copy, editorial, development, and XD to implement and QA SEO recommendations.
  • Reviews and analyzes organic performance to make optimization recommendations.
  • Assists and works alongside SEO lead to produce site audits and competitive content gap analyses.
  • Proactively communicates both positive and negative website performance to SEO leads with well-organized data, explanations, and proposed next steps.
  • Manages timelines and deliverables while keeping SEO leads apprised of progress and challenges.
  • Builds out initial reporting insights and presents results to SEO team for review.
  • Communicates with SEM team to understand search initiatives and learn how to leverage channel strengths to drive client success.
  • Supports day-to-day client interactions while building credibility and being responsive.
  • Actively participates in team meetings while supporting senior members with the appropriate data and insights.
  • Stays up to date on client news, healthcare trends and SEO best practices.

EDUCATION

A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

1+ years’ experience in SEO is required. 0+ years’ experience working within healthcare/pharma preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Competent in advanced Microsoft Excel functions/formulas: charts, graphs, pivot tables and VLookUp.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and third-party SEO tools (e.g. Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and content and technical optimization tactics.
  • Able to locate, extract, organize, and evaluate healthcare industry news publications including but not limited to healthcare advertising best practices and regulations, HIPPA compliancy, and market landscape for clients' brands.
  • Understands content and technical SEO tactics and how they affect a website’s performance.
  • Ready, willing, and able to dive into the details of the client’s web analytics to draw performance insights.
  • Demonstrates ability to multitask, keeping multiple projects on-track and executing work in a timely fashion.
  • Has active listening skills to apply learnings over time.
  • Extensive knowledge of SEO best practices (including, but not limited to content optimization, technical SEO, offsite SEO, and troubleshooting HTML issues).
  • Proficiently navigates key tools related to search (SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, etc.).
  • Able to articulate the importance of SEO and SEM integration and can understand basic SEM strategies and how they affect organic performance.
  • Understands all aspects of SEO project management and proactively anticipates next steps during any kind of website project.
  • Produces clear, concise work that is error free and easily understood.
