The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are seeking a highly motivated individual to be the creative force behind the social media strategy and content creation for the marketing department. You will be responsible for curating, scheduling, and maintaining content across all social media platforms, building our online presence, and engaging with our fans to increase brand awareness and customer loyalty. Your objectives will be to help drive sales and engagement through compelling storytelling campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive attendance (ticket sales), merchandise sales, and overall revenue for the Rumble Ponies.
- Work with the Director of Marketing and Promotions on ideation, creation, and presentation of posts on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, Blue Sky, and more.
- Interact with fans in real-time to help build a digital community and relationship with our audience.
- Monitor and respond to social media inquiries, comments, and messages promptly and professionally, escalating to management if necessary.
- Identify and capitalize on social media trends in sports and pop culture.
- Stay up to date on social media platforms, trends, best practices, and recommend strategies to reach new audiences and engage with existing fans.
- Help maintain a detailed daily, weekly, and monthly social media calendar for both organic and paid posts.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, creative, corporate sales, box office, and merchandise to enhance social media efforts.
Requirements:
- Experience with all social media platforms, photography, and videography.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere).
- Experience with content creation platforms such as Canva.
- Experience with scheduling platforms such as Sprout or Trello.
- Experience in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Open to professional and constructive feedback.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and self-motivated.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize goals.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to attend company events of all types.
- Ability to learn and adapt in fast-changing environments, and keep calm under high-pressure situations.
- Experience working with social media analytics, being able to read data and make changes for the betterment of the organization.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This position is a seasonal, full-time position with the potential to lead into a year-round full-time position. The individual will be paid $18.00 per hour with a minimum of 40 hours a week. If the individual exceeds 40 hours, they will receive overtime.
