This is a Promotional and Open recruitment to establish an eligibility list and fill vacancies. The eligibility list will be used to fill permanent vacancies which may occur during the life of the eligibility list. In a promotional and open recruitment, the promotional list shall take precedence. When the promotional list contains fewer than three eligible and willing employees, certification of additional ranks shall then be made from the open list.
Positions in this classification are part-time or full-time, 25-40 hours per week, 11 months/238 work days per year.
The recruitment process will consist of a written and or an oral technical interview, which is tentatively scheduled during the weeks of April 21 - May 9, 2025. Qualified applicants will be notified by email.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the site principal, perform a variety of technical and instructional media center functions; oversee and participate in circulation activities; transport technology carts to and from the classrooms; maintain security of technology devices; manage technology devices.
Perform a variety of technical instructional media support duties involved with circulation, maintenance, and distribution of instructional media materials and technology devices.
Problem solve basic computer and technology device issues for end users; communicate with district help desk regarding more complex issues.
Assist with the evaluation and maintenance of instructional technology; pull and route technology in need of updating, repair or discarding.
Maintain instructional media center files and records, including inventory control records; compile lists of materials and technology in circulation.
Receive, configure and update new instructional media materials and technology.
Operate and maintain a variety of equipment including a copier, computers, tablets, bar scanner, and other technology devices.
Maintain the library media center in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
Transport carts containing technology devices from the media center to various classrooms during the school day and safely secure in the media center at the end of each day.
Assist students in the use of a variety of computer software and mobile device applications.
Communicate with the school office regarding repair of equipment and with the Technology Department regarding technology devices.
Attend professional development and workshops related to assigned activities.
Perform related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Instructional media and technology devices, equipment, procedures, and terminology.
- Basic math.
- Operation of a variety of office equipment including a computer.

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school, one year of experience working with children in an organized environment, and one year of recent experience using a personal computer, tablet including application updates, associated peripheral equipment, and basic computer applications.
