Job Title: Software Developer (Web Systems)

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid - 2 days in office per week)

Job Type: Full-Time

About The Role:

Our client, a leading provider in the insurance industry, is seeking a skilled Web Developer to join their Analytics Web Systems team. We’re looking for an experienced individual who is passionate about development and interested in growing their career, with a potential path into architecture in the future. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact within our dynamic team while contributing to innovative web solutions.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience in software development, specifically with a focus on web technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong technical proficiency in .NET/C#, SQL, and familiarity with TypeScript/Angular (although TypeScript/Angular experience is a bonus, it is not a requirement). We are seeking someone who has a passion for learning and growing their skills, with a desire to eventually move into an architectural role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance web-based applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues efficiently.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of applications, with potential to grow into an architecture-focused role over time.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Work closely with project managers and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in .NET/C# and SQL.
  • Experience working with web technologies (TypeScript/Angular experience is a plus but not required).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A desire to grow into an architecture-focused role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • 4-year Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a hybrid environment (2 days in office, 3 days remote).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
