We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Communications Solutions Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in classified computing and a complete understanding of communications systems and their operations. Familiarity with policies and procedures surrounding classified computing within the Department of Energy is highly preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Communications Solutions Architect will provide large and complex hardware, software, database, networking and telecommunications support to the Nuclear Emergency Support Team Standards and Training Program (NEST). This individual will review needs and incorporate requirements utilizing both off-the-shelf and internally developed hardware and software solutions. This individual will need to be a self-starter, adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This individual will have significant logistics management responsibilities, be responsible for day-to-day operations as well as be responsible for the readiness of multiple communications suites that provide classified computing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to obtain and maintain a US DOE Q-level security clearance Bachelor's degree in a Computer or Engineering related field or equivalent combination of technical training and experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role. Possess relevant technical certifications (ie. CCNP, CompTIA Network+) In-depth and extensive experience architecting complex and/or large networking and computing solutions using various technologies/methods. Practical understanding of inline hardware encryption solutions. Experience working with enterprise switch, router and firewall platforms Experience implementing best practices in accordance with Intelligence Community Directives and Policy Guidelines. High level written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff. Ability to develop and implement solutions in a team environment. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to quickly respond to problems and respond to rapidly changing priorities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Current holder of an active Q or TS clearance. Prior experience with the Department of Energy. Experience with complex classified networking and computing solutions. Location

: This is a full-time on-site position in Albuquerque, NM.

SALARY:

Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate's related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
