Our client is looking to fill the role of a Freelance Assistant Designer - Women's Cut and Sew. This position will be hybrid and based out of the New York office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing seasonal collections that are in line with brand trends - researching and sketching.
- Create CADs, tech packs, fabric sourcing, and print/pattern direction for each season.
- Collaborate with CFT (production, merchandising, and technical teams) to ensure designs are accurately executed (fittings and submits) and aligned with brand standards.
- Preparation of presentations for design tear/sketch reviews, milestone meetings, and design builds.
Required Qualifications:
- Really strong cut and sew knits background - not category specific, but the role will be focusing on these categories: intimates, sleepwear, active and outerwear
- Adobe, InDesign, Photoshop experience preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and adjust to shifting priorities in a fast paced environment
