Position: Lecturer - Studio Lessons
Description: The Department of Music at Princeton University may have occasional openings for semester-long, potentially renewable, non-tenure-track lecturer positions to teach in our studio lesson program, for the fall and/or spring semesters of the 2024-2025 academic year. Dependent on departmental need, responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
Essential Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in music or equivalent experience. They must also demonstrate knowledge and ability in ensemble direction, studio teaching, and repertoire.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a college or university setting, experience coaching soloists and ensembles, and teaching of master classes.

- review and evaluation of arts supplements in support of university admissions processes;
- review and evaluation of placement auditions;
- meeting and providing trial lessons to prospective students;
- writing letters of recommendation;
- programming for faculty concerts;
- presenting master classes;
- coaching student soloists and ensembles;
- adjudication of juries and competitions.
