Job Description:
The Staten Island FerryHawks are seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Photography Intern to join our media team for the summer of 2025. This internship is designed for college students who are looking to gain hands-on experience in sports photography and digital media. As the Photography Intern, you will be responsible for documenting team events, games, and behind-the-scenes moments to support our marketing and social media efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality photos during home games, including action shots, player portraits, crowd interactions, and promotional events.
- Edit and process photos to meet team standards and deadlines.
- Provide content for the team's website, social media, and marketing materials.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to ensure timely delivery of assets.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of digital media files.
- Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably pursuing a degree in Photography, Communications, Media, or a related field.
- Strong photography skills with experience in sports, event, or action photography.
- Familiarity with photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).
- Must have your own DSLR or mirrorless camera and equipment (lenses, memory cards, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A passion for sports and a keen interest in visual storytelling.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during the summer season.
